Bob has agreed to produce ten Loveless style Drop Point Hunters with Interior Wooly Mammoth Ivory handle scales specifically for members of the Knife Collectors Club™ and A. G. Russell™ customers.

Bob recently made a very limited production of thirty Slim Drop Point Hunters with Green Canvas Micarta® inspired by the drop point hunter made by R. W. Loveless since the 1960s. To create this Slim Drop Point, Bob has taken his Loveless inspired drop point hunter and reduced the blade width to 7/8" while keeping all other measurements the same as the full width original.

Bob Dozier has been collecting the choicest of handle material all the 30 years I have known him. In the last couple of years he has found some of the most highly figured cocobolo I have ever seen. Of course, Bob also knows how to cut the wood to get the best effect. The result is some of the most magnificent cocobolo handles you will find on a knife.

The Dozier Buffalo River Hunter was introduced late in 2005. It is a drop point hunter that was designed for A. G. Russell customers. At the time it was introduced, Desert Ironwood was plentiful. It is a wonderful handle material, but has become increasingly hard to find forcing Bob to look for other suitable handle material. He has found a source of Cocobolo that has as much striking contrast in grain, perhaps more, as the finest Desert Ironwood. Buffalo Hunters are now available with Cocolobo and Green Linen Micarta®. Like all of Bob's standard hollow ground hunting knives, these are hand ground in Bob's shop on grinders designed and built by him.
