As a knife designer, I seldom find as much to enjoy as I have in these knives designed by Mike Skellern of South Africa and produced in China for Boker Plus. The blades fill the handles and are hollow ground so well I am looking for the maker in China to make knives for me.

We have been working on this new Sting™ for two plus years, intending to do the one-piece forgings in Germany and the grinding and finishing in the United States. After almost two years without a finished sample, we recovered our deposit for the forging dies and cancelled the project. At that point, the project was moved to Taiwan where the knives are forged from a single piece of honest to goodness 440C, a better steel than that in the old German-made knives.

Designed by G and G Hawk, the Select Fire brings new meaning to a tool knife. This folder includes a bit driver that pivots out from the top of the handle that also includes a ruler.

In Spanish, a pitón is the top of an animal's horn or a sprig or shoot. In English, it is a peg or spike. Either definition seems somehow appropriate for Boker's El' Pitón. The handle is a tine tip from the antler of the European Red Deer and the blade shape contributes to the overall impression of a peg or spike.

This classic Gentleman's Pen Knife from Boker® proves the saying that great things come in small packages. This model has been in Boker's line for a number of years. In 2004, they did a small run exclusively for us with a Damascus blade and gold lip pearl, black pearl and white mother-of-pearl handle scales that was very popular with our customers.

The Ripple, the first collaboration between noted knifemaker and designer Ken Onion and Columbia River Knife & Tool is now available in a smaller, more pocketable size. Its name is, you guessed it, the Ripple 2. This smaller version keeps all of the qualities of the original, including the almost friction-free IKBS ball bearing opening system.

This is the sixth in a series of folders made for A. G. Russell™ Knives by Canal Street Cutlery® using White Buffalo Mica Pearl for the handle scales. The previous five knives include a Muskrat, Doctor’s Knife, Half Moon Pie Trapper, Stockman and Cannitler. Mica Pearl is a resin-based material that was developed to be an alternative to Celluloid.
