Over the past 62 years I have paid close attention to anything I have heard, read or saw about December 7, 1941. The attack lasted only two hours and in that time killed 2300 men, sank or damaged 8 battleships and put the United States at war. Far more important in my 8 year old world was the simultaneous attack on the airfield in the Philippines where my father was a squadron commander. This book has nothing to say about that airfield, but it has great detail about Pearl Harbor. Lots of first person accounts by eye witnesses and survivors. 176 pages.
