Each block will accommodate: (knives not included) One cleaver or Chinese chef's knife,Five kitchen or butcher knives,Three chef's knives,One sharpening steel, (EZ-STEEL . . . . shown below),Eight steak knives,Two paring knives and One cutting board (6" x 8"). The knives are held flat on their sides so the edges do not rest against the block. The block is hollow which means there is no way for debris and bacteria to accumulate inside the knife block and come in contact with knife blades. Molded of high density ABS that will not crack, chip or shatter. A handsome ivory white color which will grace any kitchen decor. Dishwasher safe; simply remove the bottom and put in the dishwasher.
