The Ultralight™ series, which Al Mar Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle. This is a great way to make a strong, lightweight folding knife, the heavy weight metal of liners and bolsters is removed.

The diminutive Osprey™ is Al Mar's fourth model to be re-introduced in the Ultralight™ series. The linerless handle is polished black Micarta® and the 1-5/8" flat ground drop point blade is AUS-8 at 57-59 Rc. This steel is highly respected for taking a razor like edge. The needle point is perfect for picking splinters or for cutting out newspaper articles. Features bronze washers and Al Mar's standard front lock.

Measures 2-1/4" closed and weighs only 0.4 oz. Made in Japan. Pouch not included.
