Kerhaw® continues to produce knives utilizing the Ken Onion SpeedSafe locking system. Inspired by Orange County Choppers Web Bike this Blur is a souped up version of the original. The 6061-T6 anodized aluminum handle features a raised spider web machined into it with a long-legged spider and the OCC chopper logo to add to the look.

For 2008, SOG has removed the V-Cutter, and added a 2-3/8" fully serrated blade. The SOG® Trident™ Folder uses SOG's well-proven S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology™) as a means of opening the blade. With the addition of the Arc-Actuator™, SOG's newest blade release mechanism, the Trident locks stronger and releases easier. There is also a built-in safety to lock the blade closed. Allen Elishewitz is an acclaimed young Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker who offers a surprising range of custom knives, many with Egyptian-themed names. The Elishewitz Montu™ has turned out to be everything we could imagine in a personal folder.

Horus is familiar to Egyptologists as the hawk-headed god, lord of the sky. As Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker Allen Elishewitz developed this design for Columbia River Knife & Tool® (CRKT®), similar in many ways to his larger custom Creedmore, we saw an aggressive hawk-like character in its crisp edges, facets and choils, hence the Horus™ name. It reminds us of an F-111 stealth fighter, too.

As you know, Barry Gallagher is one of the most acclaimed members of the Knifemakers' Guild, well known for his award-winning high-end custom art knives. So CRKT® had a special challenge in producing Barry's Badger design at a quality level that would satisfy him, while keeping the price low enough to satisfy you.

Benchmade® has taken the very popular Stryker design and added the Nitrous assist-opening mechanism. Nitrous uses the inner-liner to boost the blade open. As the blade is closed, the two torsion arms, which run the length of the handle liners, are secured in place and make contact with the blade tang. The user rotates the blade open to a 30-degree angle, and then the torsion bars take over and push the blade into the open position

CPM-440V is one of the state of the art tool steels now used for high end knives. It is not only more expensive but noticeably harder to work. There are a few other powder metal steels that will give similar performance but none that are measurably better at edge holding.

The Baby Boa mirrors the lines of the larger Boa but has something to offer all its own. A unique cutaway allows you to view the inner workings of Ken Onion's SpeedSafe® system. The handle of 6061-T6 anodized aluminum with smoked finish, supports a Walker style lock and a safety lock to keep the knife safely closed in your pocket.
