Böker® celebrated their 140th anniversary last year and they had much to celebrate. The company is one of the last production facilities left in Solingen, Germany, the "City of Blades". For those of us who love sporting knives, they are about the only one of major significance. To celebrate, they introduced a number of new models, added several knifemakers to their list of designers, including Bob Dozier, Bill Harsey and Dietmar Kressler, and introduced several limited productions commemorating this important anniversary.
The Camp Knife has been manufactured since 1869, the year Böker Treebrand was established, and is their first 140th Anniversary knife. To honor the longevity of the company and the knife, Böker chose chestnut for the handle scales. A huge chestnut tree was the origin of the Treebrand logo. Limited to 1,869 pieces, it includes a chain, leather pouch and special anniversary packaging. The two cutting blades, 2-1/2" spear and 1-3/4" clip are 4034 stainless at 55-56 Rc. Also includes a bottle opener, corkscrew, can opener and a bail. Flamed chestnut wood handle scales, nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Measures 3-5/8" closed and weighs 3.5 oz. Made in Germany. Suggested retail is $149.00.
