A.G. Russell Knives

About 20 years ago Col. Applegate premiered his Applegate - Fairbairn Fighting Knife. The first version was handmade by T. J. Yancy in Colorado. This knife has had a long life. When T. J. stopped making them, Al Mar made them in Japan. While Blackjack had their factory operating in Illinois, they made the knife, and now they are being made by Böker® in Solingen, Germany. It is my opinion that these are the very best value of all of the knives, they retail for half of what T. J. charged the Colonel. They are of great quality and sell for about one fourth the original price.

The 6" double ground blade of German 440-C hardened to 57-59 Rc. is offered either plain edged or with one side half serrated. The surface of the blade is bead blasted. The handle is injection molded of fiberglass and Delrin®. Brass guard. Plain edge includes a Cordura Sheath, the combo edge a Kydex Sheath. Weighs 8.6 oz.
