We are always looking for knives with unusual locks. Especially, those that seem to offer a better way of releasing the lock. This knife from Browning fits that bill. The locking system is basically a locking liner, but with a twist. It takes both liners to make this lock work. A portion of the anodized aluminum handle scale on the front side of the handle is removed to allow access to the liner which has been cut and spring tempered. This allows the front side liner to be pushed against the liner on the reverse side of the knife, releasing the lock and allowing the blade to close. Very creative! Finely bead blasted stainless frame with annodized aluminum handle scales and onlays of handsome olive wood. Browning tells us that the 3" drop point blade is AISI 440 at 57-59 Rc. Measures 4-1/8" closed and weighs 3.1 oz. Ships in a beautiful box of olive wood precisely routed to hold the knife when closed, with hinged lid. Made in Italy. Suggested retail is $124.95.
