Crazy Horse was a leader. He was often at odds with leaders of his tribe, yet he has become the most revered of all Sioux leaders, including Sitting Bull, and has far eclipsed Red Cloud and Spotted Tail who engineered his death. Celebrated for his ferocity in battle, Crazy Horse was recognized among his own people as a visionary leader committed to preserving the traditions and values of the Lakota way of life.

Browning® has chosen to commemorate Crazy Horse's birth as a part of their Living History Knives. The blade is hand-knapped obsidian and the handle is aspen wood from a grove of trees in southern Nebraska. The Aspen is revered by the Sioux Nation as the "Tree of Life". The sheath is hand beaded fringed buckskin with horsehair tassels. Limited to 1,847 individually numbered pieces (sorry, no choice of serial number). Ships with a display case of American Walnut with a beveled glass top and a Certificate of Authenticity. While there is no authenticated photo of Crazy Horse, experts agree that the one chosen by Browning is the most likely image of him. Made in the U. S. A. Suggested retail price is $895.00.
