Late in 2007, Canal Street Cutlery introduced an exciting new design by well-known knifemaker D'Alton Holder. The cast integral hilt/bolster and 3-1/2" mirror polished drop point blade is 19C27 Swedish stainless at 60-62 Rc. Earlier this year, they produced a 100 piece limited production for A. G. Russell™ with our own carefully selected cocobolo for handle scales. They have now produced a second limited production run of only 50 pieces with beautiful and rare natural Kudu Horn handle scales. Most of the Kudu Horn found on knives today is not really Kudu horn, but water buffalo horn jigged with a pattern to represent Kudu. The material used on this hunter is genuine Kudu Horn in its natural color which ranges from a dark, almost black to a beautiful, pink tinged neutral. The coined Canal Street shield is brass. While this is a great knife for the collector, it is an extremely good knife for the hunter as well. 19C27 Swedish stainless is a great edge holding steel that will hold up extremely well in the field. Measures 7-3/8" tip to butt and weighs 5.4 oz. The serial number, 19C27 and U.S.A is marked on the spine of the blade. Otherwise the blade is unmarked.
