We keep looking for materials that are not commonly used, to create unusual versions of this knife. The latest is Leopardwood. Leopardwood is found in air and semi arid areas. It is know as the Leopardwood because of its spotted appearance.

The Model 12 Sportsman Bowie is one of Randall’s mid-sized bowie knives, designed to meet sportsmen’s demands for a heavy duty Bowie style knife.

The new Trailmate fixed blade knife by Lone Wolf was designed by custom knife maker Steve Kelley. The handle shape has two deep finger groves to enhance the control of the blade under slippery conditions. The top edge of the blade also has thumb-notching just forward of the handles to also enhance the grip when putting downward pressure on the blade with your thumb.

The model 572 Senior is a good-sized two bladed pocketknife. The two clip point blades are made using PUMA's Super Keen Cutting premium stainless at 57-59 Rc.

The PUMA Hunters Friend's 5" deep-bellied skinner shaped blade is genuine drop forged Pumaster Carbon Cutlery steel with 1-1/4" of small saw teeth on the cutting edge near the guard and a fuller on the reverse side.

The Model 28 Woodsman with Border Patrol Handle is a new knife introduced by the Randall Shop early in 2010. It has taken a bit of time to accumulate enough on our shelves to feel comfortable offering them in a catalog without the fear of getting too deeply backordered.

Made from CPM-S30V stainless steel the 3-1/4" recurved drop point blade is heat-treated to a hardness of 60-61 Rc. The frame and internal components are heat-treated stainless steel for strength and durability. The handles are made from green/black Micarta®.

The Cheyenne is a manual one-handed opening knife that is great looking and extremely tough. Made from CPM-S30V stainless steel the 3-1/4" recurved drop point blade is heat-treated to a hardness of 60-61 Rc. The blade is coated with black Titanium Nitride for a great look and tough protection of the blade surface. The frame and internal components are heat-treated stainless steel for strength and durability. The handles are made from diamond pattern checkered G-10 that provides a rugged, non-slip grip.

The Defender, a collaboration between Lone Wolf designers and Paul Poehlmann, the inventor of the Paul® Axial Locking mechanism, was designed to fill the need for a "Gentleman's Tactical Knife".

The Piggyback is the smallest of the Adventure blades. Taking up no more room than a medium sized folding knife, it cuts like a knife twice its size. Grip points on the spine allow for delicate work, the deep belly shape and short clip point were designed for “unzipping” game.

Evidence indicates that beer has been brewed in Germany since around 800 B.C. and by the second century, it was being traded commercially. In 1516, Duke Wilhelm IV of Bavaria enacted the Reinheitsgebot, or the “Purity Law,” which regulated the brewing of beer. The town of Solingen, known as the cutlery center of Germany, also enacted strict laws for the manufacture of knives and shears. While Boker is not quite as “aged” as the brewing industry, the same quality standards apply.

For many years, Boker® offered a Magnum Collectors Knife in serial numbered limited editions, each conceived by well-known knife designers. These knives were so popular in Europe that many customers in the U.S.A. were unable to purchase one. In 2009, to solve that problem, Boker began a “U.S.A. only” yearly series of Boker Plus Collector’s knives. The first knife offered was designed by William C. “Bill” Johnson, and sold out very quickly. This second knife is designed by custom knifemaker David Broadwell from Texas whose custom designs are known for their flowing lines and meticulous fit and finish. This fixed blade design is a great example of his work and seemed to Boker to be a perfect fit for this new limited edition series.

William C. "Bill" Johnson is a well-known custom knifemaker. His designs are known for their detail in craftsmanship and quality. In 2009, his interpretation of a field knife was the first offering in the new Boker Plus U.S.A. Only Collector's Limited Edition Series.

Gary has just made a limited production run of the Eagle and the Falcon Ultralight using a beautiful brown Canvas Micarta® instead of the black. The sabre ground drop point blades are AUS-8 at 57-59 Rc., each with a thumb stud for one-handed opening. The locking mechanism is the front lock design used by AMK from the beginning. Made in Japan.

Buck is also committed to helping protect America’s wildlife resources and hunting heritage. A cooperative effort between these two organizations is a very natural fit.

Knives made by Andy Roy of Fiddleback Forge are simple hardworking tools with handles that are easy on the hand and blades of high carbon tool steel for its ease of sharpening and edge holding abilities. Andy uses convex grinds and edges, which he prefers for the way they sharpen, for strength, and because convex edges do not so easily get wedged in your work.

Known predominately for his elegant and well-balanced pocketknives, Mike Skellern's designs are a great addition to the Boker Plus line. The Exskelibur knives, first offered at the beginning of this year, have proven to be very popular. The Exskelimoor, the second design in the series, is exactly what the name implies, more.

Since its inception in 1986, SOG® Specialty Knives has focused mainly on military/tactical style knives, both fixed blade and folders. For a large part of that time, radical blade grinds have been a staple of most SOG designs. But even for SOG, the complex blade grinds on the Vulcan Fixed Blade (VFB) are something special.

The Spire, a trim little gentleman's folder was designed by Matt Conable and produced in 2004 as William Henry's second model from Japan. While the Spire was a great success for A. G. Russell™ Knives, it was not particularly successful for William Henry® and they dropped the model after only one production run.

In the middle of 2004, we issued the first A. G. Russell™ Field Knife, our concept of the maximum knife for troops in the field. It was an immediate success, but left me with the feeling that I could have done better. In this new version, my goal was to make major improvements without violating the basic design.

Built slim for comfortable fit in the hand and in the pocket, the Ventana has a couple of features that are new or unusual in a William Henry knife. The button lock not only locks the blade in the open position but also locks it closed (new in the B6 Ventana), and this is the first William Henry model to feature a nail nick.

For many years, Buck® has offered a series of limited edition knives as a part of their Heritage Collection. For this latest five hundred-piece limited edition, they have chosen the Model 118 Personal.

W. R. Case and Sons® re-introduced the Seahorse Whittler in 2002. Based on the Wharncliffe whittler, this century-old design has been updated and reworked to give it a more current appeal. The primary difference is the main blade. It has an unusual hump just ahead of the handle, but keeps the extreme point of the Wharncliffe blade.

When Leatherman first introduced the Squirt E4 tool they sold it only at specialty electronic stores. When it became popular and people started finding it handy for all kinds of jobs, they opened up distribution to all kinds of stores. Now with the Squirt ES4 they have added scissors to the tool making it even more versatile.

The design is almost 40 years old, the steel is almost brand new and the skill needed to produce such a fantastic knife has been developed over the past 50+ years.

Buck's® Model 905 Bowie is the third knife in their 2010 Bear Claw Legacy Collection Series. It is a perfect match to the model 110 and 503 also offered in a limited production of 250 pieces.

Each year, collectors look forward to new knives in Buck's® Legacy Collection. The Bear Claw series is a prime example of why Wilde Bill Cody has been one of the most popular designers of that collection. Both functional and artistic, these knives are made to be used, but are mostly collected.

These two unusual fixed blade knives designed by knifemaker Jesper Voxnaes of Denmark are part of the Böker Plus® line. Both designs have already enjoyed success as handmade custom pieces both overseas and in the U. S. Each is compact, but built to withstand heavy use.

His Maxx designs have been some of the most popular, and were produced by Camillus Cutlery beginning in the late 1990s and continuing until Camillus Cutlery disappeared as a U. S. manufacturer. Those knives were extremely popular with our customers and we offered several versions including a couple of exclusives, which sold out quickly.

This new knife from SOG is very distinctive from those before it. The grip is a dual directional and the big-bodied blade features a new opening shape. In hand, the knife points instinctually and feels familiar.

The Folts Minimalist with a Bowie style blade, from Columbia River Knife & Tool®, was introduced at the beginning of 2010. This is still the same very small and lightweight knife as the original (with a Wharncliffe style blade) that was introduced at the beginning of 2009, just with a different blade style.

Kershaw salutes the Orange County Choppers with this anniversary edition composite blade. The composite blade is created through a process introduced by Kershaw where two different steels are precisely fitted and braise welded together with a thin layer of copper.

When a series like Kit Carson's aluminum handled line has been so successful, it is bound to spark calls for variations. In this case, the request was for a spear point blade similar to Kit's M18 design.
