Tom Hitchcock, an industrial engineer from Talent, OR, began the design of the Hole In One with the perimeter frame, which is a single piece of 420J2 stainless steel, formed to fit the hand. He thoughtfully split the frame with swells at the top, bottom and butt to add more comfort without adding weight.

The Fulcrum Flame's design is all curves, no straight lines.  Even the CRKT logo laser cut into the blade is new.  Like CRKT says, it’s curvilinear. The 2-3/4" AUS8 premium stainless steel blade is a drop point, swedged and recurved with a high hollow grind.  Rockwell is 58-59 Rc.

Horus is familiar to Egyptologists as the hawk-headed god, lord of the sky. This web page is all about a cool knife and great value. Cutlery Hall of Fame member and master lockback folder designer Ron Lake showed CRKT a prototype of this very tasty concept. It had a clean shape, choiled grip and a flat profile with G10 scales. In other words, it was a knife that just about every knife fancier would want. Columbia River Knife & Tool's® original K.I.S.S.® has been one of the most popular knives ever sold in our catalog. For 2007, CRKT has taken that K.I.S.S.® to a new level. This knife is Ron Lake's first knife designed around the liner-lock which was invented by his friend Michael Walker. This knife uses Ron's Interframe patent, putting inlays into the solid metal of each side of the knife. It also has a remarkable version of the Lake-Walker-Knife-Safety (LAWKS) invented jointly by Lake and Walker.
