X15 T.N is a French steel that was developed for the aircraft industry for jet ball bearings, as well as the medical industry for scalpels. The Elite Skinner™ Series consists of four exciting new skinners. Series I consists of two fixed blade knives with deep bellied skinner blades, one with a guthook. Both have Olive Wood handle scales. It is a very interesting locking system that really functions as both a lock and a minimal assist to the Flipper opening. It opens using the ambidextrous Flipper system or the three thumbstuds on the blade. Use the thumbstuds for one hand opening and it works like any other non-assisted one hand opener. Use the Flipper and you will detect a very slight assist to the opening.

It is a martial arts genre accomplished by holding the knife in reverse grip with the sharpened edge facing inward toward the user. The P'Kal knife is a collaboration with Shivworks designed with this in mind.

Spyderco tells us that the Poliwog CLIPIT's open-end Ball Bearing Lock is one of the strongest of all of their locking mechanisms. This is from a company who is known for their attention to the strength and functionality of their knives. Pulling back on the ball unlocks the blade from either side.
