The Maddox Professional Helper Knife is a rocker knife specifically designed for those with limited hand strength or the use of only hand. The design of this knife requires the user apply mostly downward pressure and minimal rocking motion to cut.

The most famous fixed blade knife in the World - "the KA-BAR" - was designed to serve our troops during World War II and is still doing its job, more than 50 years later. There have been several knock-offs through the years, but the favorite has remained the original KA-BAR.

Pat and Wes Crawford, custom knifemakers in West Memphis, Arkansas, have produced many successful folder designs for CRKT over the years. Ka-Bar's history goes back to the Tidioute Cutlery Company, which was founded in Pennsylvania in 1898. Out of the failure of that company, the Union Razor Company was formed in 1902. The name was changed again in 1909 to Union Cutlery Company then moved to Olean, New York in 1910. The Ka-Bar® trademark was introduced in the 1920's and around 1942 the company submitted a Ka-Bar branded knife to the U. S. Marine Corps.
