While the Halfachance is not your typical Ken Onion design, if you look closely you will see many of the design elements you expect from a Ken Onion designed knife. For example, Ken's signature dropped handle and control bump, which allows you to use the knife for extended periods of time no matter how tall you are or which hand you cut with. The parang blade shape is based on a traditional Southeastern Asian blade designed for maximum cutting power in the jungles with minimal hand fatigue.
The 14" parang blade is powder coated 65Mn carbon steel at 52-56 Rc. The handle is nylon, overmolded with a faux pigskin tacky texture for aid in grip. Ships in a black nylon sheath with a hard insert and plenty of paracord to wrap around your wrist when using the knife, or to use in emergency situations. Measures 19-3/8" overall and weighs 1 lb. 4.3 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $69.99.
