This is one of those knives that Goldie and I disagree on. I had to overrule and insist that there were quite a few of you who would love to have such a knife. Think of it as a short cutlass or combat bolo. Designed by professional samurai sword master James Williams, this is not a kid's knife but was designed in response to specific requests from coalition forces for a powerful tactical tool for the person likely to get into serious close combat conditions.

More than a mere Tanto, almost a Wakizashi, this 12-3/8" full tang dual grind blade measures a hefty 1/4" thick and 1-5/16" wide. The steel is Yk-30 high carbon tool steel at 57-59 Rc. The handle is cord wrapped with a ray skin underlay. Includes a Kydex® sheath with a convertible belt-mounting system, a wide entry opening to allow easy return of the knife to the sheath with one hand and detents which grip the knife securely in place. Also includes a very nice hinged top wood display box. Knife measures 18-3/8" overall and weighs just over 16 oz. Made in China. Suggested retail is $375.00.
