In 2007, CRKT® followed one of the most successful designs, the K.I.S.S.® in modern knife history with the H.U.G.™. For 2008, they have made a tactical version with black non-reflective titanium nitride coating.

The H.U.G.™ is virtually as small, simple and lightweight as the original K.I.S.S.®, but so much more sophisticated and versatile. Like the K.I.S.S.®, the H.U.G.™ is a Frame Lock™ folder with a single-sided blade. However, almost every aspect has been refined.

The modified spear point blade is 420J2 stainless at 54-56 Rc. with a single-side grind that allows the blade to rest snuggly against the frame. The stainless frame includes an internal Frame Lock and supports a single Zytel® scale that creates a more hand filling handle and also helps keep the blade from accidentally opening. A finger choil at the bottom of the frame and friction groves at the thumb area make for a more secure grip, and more comfort during extended use.

A compact custom stainless steel pocket clip makes this a handy and useful personal carry in all situations. Made in Taiwan.
