Over the past 40 years, I have promoted Bob Loveless and Bob Dozier for their great work in knifemaking. Several years ago, I persuaded Bob Dozier to work in the inimitable style of Loveless. In the years following, we (Goldie and I) have sold several hundred of the Dozier made drop point, semi-skinner, and utility patterns originally designed by Bob Loveless. Most custom knifemakers make at least a few knives in the Loveless Style, only a tiny handful do it with the kind of class found in the Dozier knives.

To create this Slim Drop Point, Dozier has taken the original drop point design and reduced the width to 7/8" while keeping all other measurements the same as the original 3-3/4" drop point.

The blade is 154 CM at 59-61 Rc., measuring 7/8" wide at hilt. The 416 stainless hilt is hardened to 45 Rc. The handle is green canvas Micarta® with stainless blind bolts and the thinnest stainless thong hole liner I have seen. Measures 8-1/8" tip to butt and weighs 5.5 oz. The leather sheath is hand made by Dozier and is of a quality to match the knife.
