What a GREAT set of tools! The photo sample will go into my shop as soon as Jim Weyer has finished his photo work. This is such a great idea, 16 blades and two quick connect handles, PLUS a wood cutting knife, an edge polishing block (SlipStrop™) and polish compound, everything you need to begin as a woodcarver all in a wooden box. If you or your friend is thinking of taking up woodcarving or soapstone carving, this is a wonderful set of tools to begin with. These tools are made of high carbon 1095 tool steel and the edges are hardened to 58-60 Rc. for the tools and 57-59 Rc. for the knives. Any harder and the fine razor like edges would not stand up to knots. This little company is making their tools in this country and seems to be growing pretty fast. Quality sure does show out. The storage box measures 10-3/4" x 8" x 1-3/4". Weighs 1 lb. 11 oz.
