A.G. Russell Knives

For years, I have wanted to offer A. G. Russell™ customers an outstanding hawkbill knife.  With the help of our new engineering department, we have gone far beyond the hawkbill as produced by knife manufacturers in the past.

At the 2007 Blade Show, Kershaw introduced an innovative twist on knife blade construction. They have developed a process where they fit two different steels together to create a blade. The primary purpose for creating a blade in this manner is to allow the manufacturer to use a lesser quality steel for the spine and one of the new expensive high performance steels for the cutting edge.

Seiichi Nakamura spent his life as an engineer and in retirement designs and produces small Japanese style folders and gentleman's folders. As far as I can determine, this is the first instance in which one of his designs has been manufactured by an American company. Just last year we offered a Nakamura folder from Kershaw, but that knife was produced by a small factory in Japan.

This version of the GenTac is a 100 piece limited edition produced exclusively for A. G. Russell™ customers and members of the Knife Collectors Club™. The 3-1/8" blade is Devin Thomas' Dot Matrix stainless Damascus at 59-61 Rc.

The SOG Trident folders have features that are common to several of SOG's most popular knives. Upon closer inspection, you will find that they have features not normally seen in a folder. The Trident uses S.A.T. technology to open the knife, just open the knife about 1/3 of the way and the knife does the rest.
