Presented to his family in 1980, the Congressional Gold Medal has an image of The Duke with the inscribed words: John Wayne, American. Perfect verbiage for the man we know as a patriot and true American. To celebrate his legendary spirit, Zippo® and Case® have produced a limited commemorative set to honor the man who was larger than life.

The set includes a Zippo® chrome-plated brass Black Ice lighter and a Case® Trapper. Using their exclusive photo imaging process, Zippo's® has captured The Duke's image on the front of the lighter. The smooth chestnut bone handle scales of the Case® Trapper are engraved with John Wayne's signature and the blades are etched with "The Man" and "The Legend". With a 3-1/4" clip blade and a 3-1/4" spey blade of Tru-Sharp® Surgical Stainless steel at 55-57 Rc., nickel silver bolsters, and a shield inspired by the emblem from the Duke's belt buckle. Made in the U.S.A. The set ships in a black gift box with a sepia-tone photo of The Duke printed in the lid.
