Ka-Bar ZK Zombie Zomstro
Item #: KA5705
$69.95
In 2011 Ka-Bar released a series of knives called ZK knives or "Zombie Killer" knives. Ka-Bar named the line after its top officials joked about the need to design knives capable of killing a zombie when firearms aren't available. The ZK Series is designed to protect without fail in any situation, anything from securing the perimeter, clearing a path through the jungle or yes against an ambush of zombies. The "radioactive" green textured GFN-PA66 handle scales provide a lightweight ultra secure grip for added control. Ka-Bar asks: Are you prepared? Well, these knives just might help.
For those who like the series, but not the green handles, Ka-Bar includes an extra set of interchangeable black handles with each of the full-size fixed blade knives.
The black powder coated blade steel is 1095 Cro-Van steel with a hardness of 56-58 Rc. The blade measures 10-1/4" with an overall length of 15-1/2". Weighs 1.6 lbs. Includes a skeleton knife (KA5699) that fits into the kydex lined pocket which is built into the stuff sack of the black Molle Sheath. The black powder coated blade steel is 5Cr13 stainless steel with a hardness of 54-56 Rc. The blade measures 3-1/8" with an overall length of 6-3/8". The Zomstro is made in the U.S.A. and the skeleton knife is made in Taiwan. Suggested retail $45.00.

KA-BAR
Soon after its introduction in the mid-1920's, the KA-BAR trademark became widely known and respected. There have been many versions of how the KA-BAR name came to be, but all evidence points to a letter received from a fur trapper. This particular fur trapper's testimonial turned out to be the most significant ever received by the company.
He wrote, in very rough English, that his gun had jammed and that he had therefore relied on his knife to kill a wounded bear that was attacking him. In thanking the company for their quality product the trapper described using his knife to kill the bear. All that was legible of his scrawled writing was "k a bar". The company was so honored by this testimonial that they adopted this phrase and used it as their trademark, KA-BAR.
KA-BAR is best known for their military production knives. They were chosen by the U.S. Marine Corp. as the primary knife producer for World War II. They also have traditional pocket knives, as well as many options for law enforcement.
