At the 2007 Blade Show, Kershaw introduced an innovative twist on knife blade construction. They have developed a process where they fit two different steels together to create a blade. The primary purpose for creating a blade in this manner is to allow the manufacturer to use a lesser quality steel for the spine and one of the new expensive high performance steels for the cutting edge. A side effect is the unique looking blade that is created.

The 3-3/4" deep drop point blade is made with a spine of Sandvik 13C26 fused to a cutting edge of CPM-D2 at 58-60 Rc. with a line of copper between the two different steels. This makes a very striking and interesting blade with an extremely good cutting edge. As with all Junkyard Dog models, this one is easily opened using Kershaw's Flipper, a one-handed, ambidextrous index-finger opening system. A walker lock secures the blade in place and a removable pocket clip keeps it close at hand.

The handle is textured black G-10 with stainless liners. Measures 4-7/8" closed and weighs 5.9 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail is $119.95.
