At the 2001 S.H.O.T. Show, Kershaw introduced two Ken Onion designs. Playing upon Ken's name they called them their fresh onions, and one of them was the Scallion. The original Scallion had injection-molded polyamide handle scales and like most other Onion designs, featured Ken's Speed-Safe torsion bar mechanism for smooth assisted opening. This model features the same technology but has a 410 stainless steel handle with a contoured shape to fit nicely in the hand. The blade is a 2-1/4" recurved blade of 420 HC at 55-57 Rc. Measures 3-1/2" closed. Frame lock for secure carry. Weighs 2.3 oz. Made in the U.S.A. Suggested retail $59.95.
