A.G. Russell Knives

For many years G. Sakai has been one of Japan's top knife manufacturers. They have made knives for many of the top brands as well as their own branded knives. In the United States, the G. Sakai brand has not been widely available. We found this unusual little Gentleman's folder interesting and think you will as well. The knife is being produced for the Japanese market with several different materials for the handle inlays. We have chosen to offer it with black lip pearl.

The tsuba is usually a round, oval or squarish guard between the handle and blade of a Japanese weapon like the tanto or katana. It helps in the control of the weapon by providing a protrusion the index finger can grasp.
