The CM-11 was produced in the mid-1980s in Japan, with an AUS-8 blade at 57-59 Rc., ground extremely thin for the very finest slicing capability.

Ron Lake and I have been friends for almost 40 years. From the time I met him, his knives have been remarkable. Ron left the traditional locking knife behind and launched into new territory from his first folder, developing features like the tail lock and the interframe.

When I took the old fashioned Tear-Drop pattern and turned it into a lockback for the Agent's Office Knife, I did not dream that it would morph into something else, but Goldie saw something I had not. The lines of the teardrop handle combined with a slim Wharncliffe blade create a lovely jack knife.

The 2009 Large Folding Hunter Lockback is the second Texas Ranger knife we have managed since Camillus Cutlery disappeared. I have found a small firm that is able to do better work than Camillus did and at a lower cost, making the quality remarkable and affordable.

For many years, David Yellowhorse has been a popular name found in many collections. We have carried many knives embellished by David, including knives made by BUCK®, Lone Wolf® and Wrangler® Knives.

Over the past several years, Gary Fadden, owner of Al Mar knives, has re-introduced the Al Mar Eagle, Hawk and Osprey with nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. He has also introduced the same three models and the Falcon in an Ultralight version with both the Classic style blade and with the Talon blade.

This knife is unique in that the front of the fiberglass reinforced handle has a clip (with a steel core) which allows the knife to be clipped to your clothing or gear for easy access.

This Carbon Fiber model is Spyderco's® 18th version of their limited Kopa series which was introduced in 2005. Like the other seventeen, this version is limited to a total of 600 pieces.

This tiny Titanium Lockback Folder is based on the A. G. Russell Ultimate Pen Knife which we introduced mid-year 2003. The Pen Knife is a slip joint and measures only 2" closed. While it is an extremely handy and useful little knife, I saw the need for a knife that is just as thin (to rest comfortably in your pocket) but is a little larger and locks.

I've always wanted a non-threatening knife with a double ground blade, and I mostly prefer that single blade knives lock. I've totally redesigned the old fashioned swell end jack to reflect those two personal preferences.

It had a clean shape, choiled grip and a flat profile with G10 scales. In other words, it was a knife that just about every knife fancier would want. For over thirty-five years, the Knife Collectors Club™ has provided rare and/or unusual knives to people who like fine knives. The very first was the Kentucky Rifle, sold to members for $12 each. As president of Al Mar® Knives, Gary Fadden, a fellow Green Beret and friend of Al Mar's, is focusing on Al's best selling designs. The Ultralight series, which Al Mar® Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle. This is a great way to make a strong, lightweight folding knife, the heavy weight metal of liners and bolsters is removed.

In 2002, Spyderco® created an exciting little knife that blends the traditional Spyderco® with the traditional lockback folder. The bolsters and caps, the liners and the mid-lock are traditional folder. The blade shape, the handle shape and the hole in the blade are traditional Spyderco®.

These three Kershaw folders are not new, they are classics. All have Rosewood handles or inlays with stainless steel bolsters or frames and brass liners.

The Nehalem and Klamath were designed by Leatherman's engineering and design team as an Extreme Use Tool. These tools are meant for use by the serious hunter of Big Game Animals. They are built to handle the thick hide of such animals as the Cape Buffalo or Wild Boar.

For a lot less money than buying one of his handmade pieces, you can own a custom-designed Dozier folder. Ka-Bar's Large Dozier Folding Hunter is made with a Zytel® handle that is checkered for slip resistance.

In 2005, Spyderco® launched their Kopa series which has been made up of approximately three knives per year with exceptionally unique handle variations. This version has a multi piece inlay of white Mother-of-Pearl with contrasting and colorful abalone stripes. Very striking.

This traditional style lockback folder is a typical Boker. The clip style blade is new and the handle scales are crafted from smoked oak, a material I have never seen used for knife handles.

Böker® has reached the very top of the German cutlery trade. All of the firms who overshadowed them in the past are gone, or if they still exist they are having Böker® make their pocketknives.

Tim Wegner's Mouse-Lite is a light weight and economically priced version of his Mouse2 produced by Blade-Tech in the U.S.A. The 1-7/8" blade is 440C at 58-60 Rc.

This folding hunter is a revival of one introduced about 40 years ago by Grohmann Knives and patterned after the original D. H. Russell Canadian Belt Knife. This design with the "Wasp Waist" swept the World in the late 1950's.
