Designed by Shane Sibert, an Oregon knifemaker, the MPR (Mini Pocket Rocket) is a stout knife that utilizes Benchmade's monolock mechanism resulting in a very sturdy tactical design. The ruggedly built handle made from green G-10 with a titanium liner comes complete with a tip-down carry pocket clip.

The Benchmade Torrent was designed by Ken Stiegerwalt with the Nitrous assist-opening mechanism added. Nitrous uses the inner-liner to boost the blade open. As the blade is closed, the two torsion arms, which run the length of the handle liners, are secured in place and make contact with the blade tang.

Seiichi Nakamura spent his life as an engineer and in retirement designs and produces small Japanese style folders and gentleman's folders. As far as I can determine, this is the first instance in which one of his designs has been manufactured by an American company. Just last year we offered a Nakamura folder from Kershaw, but that knife was produced by a small factory in Japan.
