Al Mar Hawk & Osprey

The second most popular of the Al Mar elegant mid-lock folders is the Hawk (the Osprey being first). This 3-1/4" closed Hawk, sized between the ordinary pocketknife and a pen knife, is the perfect size for dress trousers. The long Barlow style bolsters give the knife a well balanced look and permit the use of rare handle materials like black lip pearl from the waters around Tahiti. The 2-1/2" blade is AUS-8 at 57-59 Rc. which will take a razor like edge and hold it well. Weighs 1.5 oz. Made in Japan.

The Osprey is either a small "Gentleman's" Locking Knife or a Miniature Frontlock knife. In either case, it is a pleasure to handle and to own. Features bronze liners, stainless bolsters and a front lock. Each ships with a handsome high quality leather pouch to protect it in your pocket. The blade is AUS-8 hardened to 57-59 Rc. This steel is famous for taking a razor like edge. The needle point is perfect for picking splinters or for cutting out newspaper articles. Measures 2-5/16" closed and 4" when open.
