Mike Stewart and his crew have produced 250 of the Bark River Gameskeeper with this unusual Bronze Maple Burl handle material. The color has been created exclusively for A. G. Russell™ Knives.
The Gameskeeper was designed and is built to be used on the largest game animals. The heavy blade measures 7/32" thick for strength. This, combined with Mike's Quick Tapered Spine, from guard to point, gives you the ability to split the largest joint of any game animal. The extended ricasso allows for a generous choil behind the cutting edge. This choil permits you to safely choke up on the blade for maximum edge control in finer work.
The 4-1/4" drop point blade is Bark River's standard A-2 at 59-61 Rc. As many of you already know, A2 has been one of my favorite knife steels for nearly 50 years. It will rust, but not easily, and it cuts and cuts. Takes a razor edge and really holds it. After use, clean thoroughly and apply Rust Free (RF125 . . . . . . $ 6.95) to the blade. Measures 9" overall and weighs 7.1 oz. Brown leather sheath. Knife and sheath made in the U. S. A.
