In 2005, Böker® offered a "Folding Hunter" with a blade of Damascus made from the barrel of the famous "Leopard I", the German battle tank. The steel, developed to resist the wear of many rounds going through the barrel in a very short time, brings great benefit to knife users. Plenty of strength and first class edge holding.
At the 2006 S. H. O. T. Show, Böker introduced a second model with the Leo Damascus blade. The handle is hard coated 6061-T6 Aluminum with Ziracote wood inlays. The 3-3/4" Leo Damascus blade has a hardness rating of 65-67 Rc. and a new large pyramid pattern to the damascus. The clip can be adjusted for tip up or tip down carry. Ships in a wooden presentation box with a certificate of authenticity. Measures 5-1/8" closed and weighs 5.6 oz. Made in Germany. Suggested retail is $595.00.
