While it has not been THE most successful knife in our catalogs (that was the K.I.S.S. knife) it has been one of the most popular knives we have sold. Instead of selling hundreds of the BUCK Nighthawks, we have sold several thousand.

The original Nighthawk was Buck's entry in the Navy Seal knife sweepstakes. It was engineered to meet the exacting standards of the Seals. The 6-1/2" American made blade of 425 stainless cutlery steel blade is hardened to 57-59 Rc and covered with a black oxide to protect it from the elements. The Black and Olive Green handle is ergonomically shaped of Kevlar®-reinforced Zytel-ST801® with co-molded Alcryn® insets and textured for a sure, comfortable grip. The formed thumb rest is a part of the guard and handle. The sheath is Cordura® with a hard liner to protect the wearer. 11-1/4" overall, weighs 10 oz. A really tough knife and a really tough deal to beat. Suggested retail is $80.00.
