This is a one-purpose blade with great slashing ability and exceptional penetration. Do not expect to be able to convince a judge or prosecutor that you were carrying this knife for hunting and skinning or for cutting carpet. It is a professional's knife for police or military.
The 7-1/8" 440A blade at 55-57 Rc. is intended for toughness more than extreme edge holding. It is now available with a high satin finish or for those who prefer a non-reflective finish, a black EDP finish or in Desert Tan dress w/Titanium nitride blade coating. It will take a very fine edge and will hold it for a reasonable time. The double molded handle has a super-tough polypropylene core, butt and hilt with the handle surface being Kraton® for a super grip. The Kydex® sheath has holes and slots that make it possible to use in many ways. Measures 12-1/4" overall and weighs 8.1 oz (11.7 oz. with sheath.) Made in Taiwan.
To aid in law enforcement and military training, a Hissatsu Trainer is now available with a blue handle and aluminum blade with a rounded trainer edge. (not shown)
Made in China. Suggested retail $109.99. Suggested retail for trainer is $69.99.
