Mike Franklin and Columbia River Knife & Tool have done it again. How about a skeletonized single-side minimal, but very functional, knife with a clip-on sheath and carabineer lanyard. Mike's slogan is "Knives With An Attitude". The Side Hawg^™ certainly fits that description.

The knife is machined from a single piece of 420J2 stainless steel at 54-56 Rc. with a 1-1/2" blade that is a deeply curved modified drop point with only one side ground. The other side lays flat against the flat sheath plate. A deep finger choil and friction grooves on the spine create a secure grip, while the skeletonized handle not only lightens the knife but also provides grip edges for the fingers. Regardless of the grit or grime, the Side Hawg has no hidden areas to trap dirt or moisture.

The sheath plate is a single piece of black Zytel® with a stainless steel post and saddle clip. The Side Hawg is held securely by placing its locator hole over the post and rotating the knife into the saddle clip. Small enough to carry either in the pants pocket or clipped by the carabineer to belt loop, backpack, D-rings or just about anything else. Includes a lanyard and a carabiner. Knife measures 4-3/8" tip to butt and weighs 1.8 oz.
