Kershaw® German Shorthair Pointer

Between 2003 and 2005, Kershaw produced a series of three knives dedicated to dogs known for their use in bird hunting. They were the Golden Retriever, the Labrador Retriever and the German Shorthair Pointer. Each was a limited edition of 1,000 knives built on Kershaw's Trailing Point Hunter. These knives are individually serial numbered and ship in a maple hinged lid box with Kershaw's logo and a laser-etched scene of a hunter firing at two pheasant with the aid of his dog.

Kershaw Offset

The Offset's rugged and complex blade geometry is provided through state-of-the-art Metal Injection Molding (MIM) and hot isostatic pressing. The result is a precision blade with two bevel geometries, hollow and flat, for incredible cutting power. This process produces a premium 440C-PM stainless-steel blade with complex, true 3-D geometry.

Kershaw Tanto Cyclone

Kershaw's Cyclones feature an innovative "on/off option" that lets you decide when to use the SpeedSafe assisted-opening system or when to use the manual operation. Simply flip the roll-switch on the knife's spine to choose manual opening or the engage the SpeedSafe system. For 2007, Kershaw has chosen to offer a Tanto style blade with Tungsten DLC coated combo edge blade.

Kershaw's Leek series has included some of our more popular knives. And it's no wonder; the Leeks offer both Ken Onion's distinctive design as well as the SpeedSafe ambidextrous assisted opening system. With SpeedSafe, the user can smoothly and easily deploy the blade with one hand, either left or right. For 2007, Kershaw is offering a more tactical version.

Kershaw® ENER-G and ENER-G II

The Kershaw Ener-G is a new breed of easy open knives featuring the new Ener-G Flipper designed by knifemaker Lee Williams. The blade is held in the closed position until deployed by pulling on the extended tang located at the front of the spine. That along with a quick flick of the wrist rotates the blade to its open position.

Kershaw® Elk Skinner II

Designed for the serious hunter, the Elk Skinner II combines a drop point blade and a guthook of sturdy AUS-8 stainless steel at 57-59 Rc. AUS-8 is a tough steel with excellent corrosion resistance.

Kershaw's Tanto Groove

In 2006, Kershaw introduced the Groove. With its all-new blade style, it became one of the more popular choices. This year, they have taken the knife to a new level. They have added a Tanto style blade and coated both the blade and handle with a black Tungsten DLC coating. The entire blade below the grind line is still machined with a unique striation pattern, possible only with modern day computerized 3-D machining equipment.

Shun Gentleman's Personal Steak Knife

A perfect solution to this problem is the Shun Gentleman's Personal Knife. They have taken a 150-year-old design, added a liner style lock to make it safer and a blade of VG-10 with a razor edge, to create a very fine, and easily carried personal steak knife.

Kershaw® Tyrade

At the 2007 Blade Show, Kershaw introduced an innovative twist on blade steel. The Tyrade has a 3-5/8" beefy drop point composite blade that consists of a spine of 154CM fused to a cutting edge of CPM-D2 at 58-60 Rc. This creates a unique look for a blade and allows the manufacturer to use a lesser quality steel for the spine and one of the new expensive high performance steels for the cutting edge. This is the first knife ever produced using this technology and Kershaw chose to use two expensive steels.

Kershaw® Shallot

Kershaw's latest model in the Onion series, that began with the Chive, is the Shallot. The largest yet, it is truly a full size knife. As with the other models, it makes use of Kershaw's SpeedSafe assisted ambidextrous opening.

Kershaw Ken Onion Speed Safe Knives

The unique Ken Onion action on the Kershaw knives gets smoother with every new model. These knives open with what Kershaw calls the "Speed Safe" action. You open it 20% and the knife opens itself the remaining 80%.

Kershaw Lahar

Kershaw S30V Blur

Kerhaw® continues to produce knives utilizing the Ken Onion SpeedSafe locking system. For 2007, they are introducing the S30V Blur. This version has a 3-3/8" S30V stainless steel blade at 57-59 Rc., with a stone washed finish.

There are new companies who make their entire business from knives with this style lock and there are people like Spyderco and Benchmade who find it more and more interesting to produce new knives using it.

Kershaw's Double Duty & Double Cross

I could not choose between these two knives for the catalog, and I believe you will have a hard time deciding which to buy. Because of this, I am making a special offer of one of each knife at a reduced price. Both knives are two blade folders, in outward appearance very traditional knives. In function they are not traditional at all. In each knife, both blades lock. That in itself is unusual, but the thing which makes them really different is that both blades lock with a common liner. This is the first time I have ever seen such a locking arrangement.
