Since Michael Walker developed the modern "Liner-Lock®", the knife industry has flocked to the design. There are new companies who make their entire business from knives with this style lock and there are people like Spyderco and Benchmade who find it more and more interesting to produce new knives using it.
Kershaw made the L-Lock in two sizes using this same basic locking mechanism, but with a very different look. We find them very well made. They make use of the same high grade stainless steel in the blades (AUS8A) that you find in many high quality knives today. They are very easy to handle and very interesting to the eye.
The larger knife measures 4-1/2" closed, with a 3-5/8" blade. It weighs a hair over 3 oz. The handles are cast metal with rubber inlays and give a really sound fit that allows easy opening with the right hand. The knife is available with a plain edge or with a 60% serrated blade.
