The Paul® Prankster is a tactical style knife with a little more elegance than is typical. The 3-1/4" plain edge blade is 154CM at 59-60 Rc., large enough for any cutting task yet compact enough for comfortable carry. The lock is the "One Hand" friendly Axial® Lock that Paul Poehlmann invented over 20 years ago and on which most of his knife designs are based. The Paul® Axial® Lock was produced by Gerber Legendary Blades in the 1970s and then again in 1995-96. The precision fit of the lock makes the knife difficult to make in a production operation and Gerber gave it up.
In a small assembly shop and with today's methods of precision cutting and grinding, Lone Wolf Knives has overcome the problems. The Lone Wolf knives function extremely well and there is no indication they will give up on Paul® designs because of production problems. The Prankster is the first Paul® with a tactical flair.
There will only be 100 Pranksters with genuine Sambar Stag handle scales made in 2007, all for A. G. Russell customers. Lone Wolf intends to add it to their line of knives in January 2008. The handle frame is stainless. Measures 4-1/8" closed and weighs 3.3 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
