Situated in New York State's scenic Souther Tier, Ontario Knife Company has built its reputation on a heritage of uncompromising craftsmanship, quality materials and components.
In 2002, RAT (Randall's Adventure and Training) a professional survival training, expedition guiding, and outdoor gear research team entered into an exclusive collaboration with Ontario Knife Co. to supply a proven set of outdoor knife designs. In 2005, they released a pair of fixed blade camp knives with D2 blades and Ram's Horn handle scales, in 2006 it was a Cattleman's folder, again with the D2 and Ram's Horn.
For their Retribution Folders, Ontario called on their Italian partner for the expertise necessary to reproduce Jerry Hossom designs. These are very tactical, very distinctively Hossom. It seems that Jerry does not produce folders, but has adapted his 7" Retribution Combat Knife to folders for production by Ontario. Ontario has carried this project off very successfully. The workmanship is top notch.
Ontario Knife Company has built a reputation of lasting craftsmanship with quality material and components. Being a major supplier of the U.S. Government, they have a wide variety of military and tactical knives, including the Extreme Military Fighter.
The M9 is several years old and has been made by whoever could get a Government contract for it. This is its newest incarnation.
Ontario Knife Company, long time maker of combat knives and the Spec-Plus series, is the proud producer of two more Bowie knives designed by Bill Bagwell.
