The Doctor's or Physician's knife has become fairly common in today's selection of traditional folders. They are made primarily in the United States by Case®, Queen® and Canal Street®. But a Serpentine Doctor's knife is rare and is the most collectible of all the variations on the Doctor's knife pattern.
Queen Cutlery®, working with handmade knifemaker Dan Burke, has created this very fine pair with Black Lip Pearl and Abalone handle scales, a 2-1/2" spearpoint blade and a 1-3/4" pen blade, both of BG-42 at 59-60 Rc. The main blade has a long pull and the pen blade has a standard nail nick. The bolsters, coined liners and traditional pill crusher cap are stainless. Measures 3-3/16" closed and weighs 1.7 oz. Made in the U. S. A.
