The life of the Queen Cutlery Company has been a remarkable one. It began as the Schatt & Morgan Company over 100 years ago, was renamed Queen City Cutlery Company and then simply Queen Cutlery Company. About 15 years ago, Queen revived the Schatt & Morgan mark for use with extra fine traditional knives. Each year, they make several knives in limited numbers for those of us who enjoy owning finely made knives.

Since 2000, they have produced a President's Choice knife. This, the 4th, will be limited to only 400 pieces. It is a remarkable knife, a 3-5/8" "Baby Sunfish" with coined bolsters, wonderful Mother-of-Pearl scales and nickel silver liners and bolsters. The 2-1/2" spearpoint and the 1-7/8" pen blades are made of D-2 High Carbon - High Chrome Tool Steel at 59-61 Rc. The knife ships in a walnut presentation box with a signed letter from Queen President Robert J. Breton. Serial numbered (sorry, no choice of serial number). Weighs 3.3 oz.
