SOG has designed and applied for a patent on their own SAT (SOG Assisted Technology). This mechanism picks up the opening of the blade as soon as the operator has produced the first approximately 20% of the opening by hand. In a "Flash" the knife is completely opened and locked. When the knife is to be closed there is a button on the side controlling the "Piston Lock"; just slide it back and fold the blade back into the handle. For double safety, engage the lock at the back of the handle. The 3-1/4" Zytel® handle contains the 2-1/2" blade of AUS-8 at 56-58 Rc. Weighs 1.2 oz. This is a neat little knife that will clip to the top of your pocket. The clip will work on either side of the handle and the knife operates either right or left handed. Made in U.S.A.
