John D'Allara, a long-time Spyderco collector who used and owned nearly every model Spyderco made, was one of the many fallen hero's who went into Trade Center Tower 1 on Sept. 11, and did not come out. When the release date for this new rescue knife came near, Spyderco thought it only fitting that it be named in his honor.

The D'Allara Rescue is a full-sized rescue knife designed specifically with the requirements of first responders in mind. Like most of its kind, the rounded sheepfoot blade has no pointed tip. Made from VG-10 stainless steel at 60-62 Rc., it measures 3-1/2" with a spyderedge the full length of its cutting edge. The black FRN handle is textured for improved grip in extreme situations The ball-bearing lock and dual steal liners strength are comforting peace of mind while in the field. Lock and tension clip are fully ambidextrous. Pocket clip carries tip-up. Weighs 5.75 oz. Made in Japan. Suggested Retail $89.95.
