This beautiful and unique version of the William Henry Westcliff was the fifth model that Matt Conable created especially for A. G. Russell™ customers in 2006.
The Westcliff has a very nice general purpose 2-7/8" Modified Wharncliffe blade. The bolsters are Koftgari; a method of inlaying gold or silver into steel that has been used in India since ancient times to decorate knife and sword handles and sheaths. William Henry uses this technique to perfection with a heavy layer of gold inlaid into an integral frame of tool steel. Scales of premium Cocobolo are then added to create a beautiful handle. The thumbstud and lock-button are topped with a genuine white Topaz. Measures 4" closed and weighs 2.2 oz. Includes a leather ClipCase™ to protect the knife and hold it at the top of your pocket.
This knife has a Tungsten DLC coated blade with outside layers of a softer, tougher low-carbon 420 stainless to give the blade great strength and toughness, and a center core of ZDP-189 at 67 Rc. for an extreme cutting edge. The DLC coating is the hardest and most protective available. Leather lanyard. Only 50 serial numbered knives were made, sorry no choice of serial number.
