This unusual gentleman's knife was designed by Christian Wimpff and began to be produced in the Klötzli shop in Switzerland in 2004. Each year H. P. selects a different unusual inlay material. The first in 2004, was a black enamel inlay with circles of nickel and palladium and a genuine black pearl, which he called the Black Star. In 2005, it was Manta Ray skin and a black pearl. In 2006, we created a special limited edition with scrimshawed images of the African Big Five on Woolly Mammoth ivory inlays exclusively for Knife Collectors Club™ members and A. G. Russell™ customers. This special edition was limited to 25 of each the Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cape Buffalo and Rhino. For 2007, H. P.'s choice of inlay material is a beautiful deep red-orange apple coral.
