This tiny Titanium Lockback Folder is based on the A. G. Russell™ Ultimate Pen Knife which we introduced mid-year 2003. The Pen Knife is a slip joint and measures only 2" closed. While it is an extremely handy and useful little knife, I saw the need for a knife that is just as thin (to rest comfortably in your pocket) but is a little larger and locks.
The A. G. Russell™ Lockback and Mini Lockback with drop point blades were a staple in our line of knives for nearly ten years. They were first produced with AUS-8 blades, then in 1998 they were some of the first models that we converted to ATS-34.
In the 1970s, Bill Davis and I developed the concept of building a folding knife with plastic handles and no liners. The first commercially viable knife produced was the A. G. Russell™ Brute. It used Rucarta™, a Micarta® like material for the handle sides and had no liners.
This is a knife that could not even have been dreamed of in the 1970s, when I finally found someone to make the drop forged original Sting™.
At less than 3 oz., this Titanium handled Frame Lock is a very handy knife. The new flat ground spear point blade makes it a fine hunting knife or utility knife, in most instances, a street legal knife for all purposes.
Over the years I have seen many sailors knives, including the one made for us in Japan. Year after year, those knives have proved to be both durable and dependable, but I have long felt that a new, modern design was needed. I have had requests from sailors for a knife with current materials and technical features.
Limited Quantities
We have worked with this company for many years and bring you this older styled Auto-Guard (Swing Guard) Folding Hunter in three handle materials: Genuine Stag, Brown Jigged Bone and Amboyna Burl.
The A. G. Russell™ Lockback and Mini Lockback with drop point blades have been a strong part of the A. G. Russell™ line of knives for a number of years. Both models are currently available with the standard VG-10 blades.

They were first produced with AUS-8 blades, then in 1998 they were some of the first models that we converted to ATS-34. They have been been pretty much unavailable for the past couple of years due to changes in manufacturing in Japan. We have once again connected with a manufacturer who can produce the quality we require. Made in Japan.
You have never seen a knife made with such simplicity and strength. The handle is fiberglass reinforced nylon, molded into one solid piece. It is checkered and shaped, not only to fit your hand with comfort when working, but to also fit your pocket without wearing holes in it.
A great all purpose knife; sleek and lightweight (only 1.5 oz). One hand easy open to close. It fits as nicely in your hand as in your pocket. Kydex neck sheath.
This is the same knife that we introduced in 2003. The difference is the European Stag and Olive Wood handle inlays. There is no assisted opening here. None is needed, just flick the thumb stud and the blade responds like greased lighting. Our Italian associates have taken my design and created a terrific folder. This is an exceptional knife and if you like a responsive Walker-Lock you will like it.
The A.G. Russell One Hand Knife™ has been our best selling knife since the first ones were shipped in 1988. The handle, which is machined from a piece of solid stainless spring steel, works in conjunction with the blade to create an unusual locking system. This locking system, and the location of a thumb stud on both sides of the blade, allows the knife to be closed or opened one handed using either the right or left hand.
Gary Fadden, president of Al Mar® Knives, is focusing on producing knives from the best designs produced while Al Mar was in charge of his company. The Ultralight™ series, which Al Mar Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle.
World renown as one of the world's finest tactical folders - now made with a blackened blade - the Mini SERE 2000 is built to the same uncompromising standards as the full size version. Al Mar uses the same VG-10 stainless steel at 59-61 Rc, and have added a blackened blade with their new ceramic coating for corrosion and scratch resistance.
The Nomad is a slightly smaller tactical folder designed by Kirk Rexroat. It features textured black G-10 scales, a flat ground 3" blade of VG-10 stainless steel at 59-61 Rc. with dual thumbstuds. Stainless steel liners and a heavy-duty liner lock. Available in either satin finish or black chrome plated.
The SERE, (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) was designed by Al Mar and Col. Nick Rowe in the early 1980s for the the U.S. Army's SERE school. The knives now being made are stronger and use better steel than was then available for folders. This current model is a more convenient size.
The Osprey is either a small "Gentleman's" Locking Knife or a Miniature Frontlock knife. In either case, it is a pleasure to handle and to own. Features bronze liners, stainless bolsters and a front lock. Each ships with a handsome high quality leather pouch to protect it in your pocket.
The Eagle, Al Mar's® largest classic folder, has been reintroduced in 2007. There is the original fully flat ground Classic blade with a nail nick as well as the new Talon blade with a deep top swedge and dual thumbstuds.
The Eagle, Al Mar's® largest classic folder has been re-introduced in 2007 with both the original fully flat ground Classic blade with a nail nick and with the new Talon blade with a deep top swedge and dual thumbstuds.
From the Manufacturer:
"You're only as old as you feel. An exterior of jigged aluminum handle scales with "woody" side panels, and the stylish, silvery blade project a timeless impression of class. Rekindle the spirits of old "friends", or begin new with the inspiration of this timeless necessity."
From the Manufacturer:
"The 630 Skirmish precedes any formal introduction, it introduces itself. More surprising than the robust stature though, is how well it handles for its size."
From the Manufacturer:
"Try this one on for size. It's every bit the 630 with a few less steroids. The 635 with its titanium-framed monolock competes with all, but compares with none. So silky smooth, yet so rigidly prudent in securing the blade."
This is a neat little pocketknife with Benchmade's "Levitator™" locking system, it locks both open and closed. Press the side lever and "levitate" the blade open or closed.
Heckler & Koch is a name that most of you are familiar with. It is a name synonymous with quality and performance. The have teamed with Benchmade to produce this line of fine tactical knives made to the same exacting standards that you are accustomed to in the HK line of firearms.
The model 940 incorporates the exclusive Benchmade AXIS™ locking system, created by custom knifemakers Bill McHenry and Jason Williams.
Benchmade has taken the very popular Stryker design and added the Nitrous assist-opening mechanism. Nitrous uses the inner-liner to boost the blade open. As the blade is closed, the two torsion arms, which run the length of the handle liners, are secured in place and make contact with the blade tang. The user rotates the blade open to a 30-degree angle, and then the torsion bars take over and pushes the blade into the open position.
The Rukus™ is a large knife with a 4-1/4" flat ground drop point blade of S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. The Blackwood design is coupled with Benchmade's AXIS lock to create a large folder that is appealing to behold and highly functional.
Benchmade fans will recognize the Sequel as a slimmer version of the model 705, the first Benchmade knife to have the AXIS™ lock.
From the Manufacturer:
"Glossy metallic profiles of red or silver tempt the senses and energize the soul. Witness an unrivaled revelation of pure performance engineering in every detail. You won't be lead astray."
The design is from Oregon knifemaker Bob Lum, but the name is all Benchmade - Bob calls it an All Rounder. The name Dèjávoo does seem to better fit the elegance and uniqueness of this knife.
There are currently at least eleven Mike Snody collaborations in Benchmade's line of knives. The Gravitator seems to stand out from the rest. The lines are very different.
Early in 2007, Benchmade® introduced the Dejavoo. Recently, they have introduced a small version called the Mini Dejavoo. The 3-1/4" blade of S30V at 58-60 Rc. is ground to the top, the way a blade should be ground. The G10 handle scales are fully contoured for a comfortable hand fit and that feeling that you don't want to lay it down.
The Mini-Rukus® is by no means a mini-knife. Measuring a full 8-3/8" when open, it features a 3-3/8" flat ground drop point blade of S30V stainless at 58-60 Rc. The Blackwood design is coupled with Benchmade's AXIS lock to create a large folder that is appealing to behold and highly functional.
The Benchmade Levitator® locking system utilizes the handle scale/liner to create a spring that leverages a lock-pin in and out of a notch in the tang of the blade. This system locks the blade securely in both the open and closed positions.
Mike Snody, the designer of the Resistor, got his start in knifemaking in an unusual way. While working in a remote corner of Siberia on a construction project he passed the time by reading and re-reading knife magazines.
Another great design by Tim Wegner. Named for the N'Debele, a Southern African tribe descended from the Zulu's, word for wild dog, the Ganyana is a sturdy knife tough enough to take on almost any job.
The Tim Wegner's Mouse-Lite is a light weight and economically priced version of his Mouse2 produced by Blade-Tech in the U.S.A. The 1-7/8" blade is 440C at 58-60 Rc.
For their 2007 Annual Damascus Folder, Boker® has chosen to use the new Zirconia folder which they introduced just this year. The elegant and sophisticated character of this folder is a perfect choice for this long running annual collector's series of 999 knives featuring Damascus blades.
Boker, under the new label Boker Plus, is producing a series of knives designed to meet the critical demands of the Armed Forces. The Tanto Folder I is one of those knives. Designed for extreme conditions, this folder can stand up to just about anything.
Boker® has reached the very top of the German cutlery trade. All of the firms who overshadowed them in the past are gone, or if they still exist they are having Boker® make their pocketknives.
Collaboration between some of the sharpest minds in the martial arts the Escrima folder is designed to be the ultimate when it comes to self-defense.
Like its namesake, the Eurofighter aircraft, this knife is fast and powerful. Designed to handle multiple tasks with ease and precision. The blade is a modified recurve style with a large false edge in the back made from 154-CM stainless steel at 59-61 Rc. and measuring 4".
One of the most popular pocketknives Boker® has ever offered has been their Gentleman's Lockback. This version is the most elegant yet.
The new Helios series from Boker is designed to handle just about any job you throw at it. The handles are a hand filling 4-3/4", made from machined 6061-T6 aircraft alloy hard coat anodized to a forest green or a black finish.

This particular steel was forged from the barrel of the German battle tank Leopard I, thus the name Leo Damascus.
Crafted high in the French Alps, these tough knives of simple design and rugged materials have long been a favorite of Europeans. The original Opinel line was created by founder Joseph Opinel in 1890.
This traditional style lockback folder is a new version of a typical Boker. The clip style blade is new and the handle scales are crafted from smoked oak, a material I have never seen used for knife handles.
Another addition to Boker's popular Super Liner series, the Stellar incorporates the same smooth curves and Walker-Lock that the original had. The titanium handles measures 4-1/8" long with celestial orbital cutouts to lighten the weight.
Boker's latest addition to the popular Super Liner series is the Stellar II. It has the same specifications as the Stellar including the same smooth curves and Walker-Lock.
In early 2006, Boker introduced the Subcom folder, designed by Chad Los Banos. It quickly became one of our more popular sellers for the year. Its compact size coupled with its full sized blade made a very pocketable folder. In 2007, Boker introduced different versions of the Subcom's.

The newest design from the island of Hilo, Hawaii, from Chad Los Banos is the Boker Trance. It has a slightly larger size from the popular Subcom, and combines a powerful AUS-8 stainless steel blade and an ergonomically shaped handle.
From the Manufacturer:
"There have been many designs from Dietmar Pohl that we have introduced successfully, and we are glad to have him with us. Diligence and imagination are his specialties."
Compact in size, but tough and reliable when in use, this traditional style lockback folder will tackle just about any job you can think of.
The latest introduction of Cinch pocketknives offers a true workhorse for inside and outside the arena. Features a stainless steel handle, with western scroll engraving with 24K gold accents.
To carry many of the folding knives being produced today, a pocket clip is a must. It can be clipped at the top of your pocket, with the knife protected inside, or positioned conveniently on the outside of the pocket when easy access is critical.
Boker's® newest version of the Eurofighter features a high performance Damascus blade forged from a Mauser BK 27 cannon barrel by German Damascus craftsman Markus Balbach.
The Limited Edition Kalashnikov looks as wicked as the bayonets furnished with the combat rifle invented in 1947 by Mikhail Kalashnikov, who was then a young Soviet Army officer. While that rifle and bayonet was rugged, cheap and virtually indestructible, this knife is only rugged and virtually indestructible. The Boker Kalashnikov Limited uses the now nearly universal liner style lock popularized by Michael Walker and handles of 6061 TL6 aircraft alloy inlaid with Snakewood.
Giving up only a little of ceramic's edge holding ability, they have achieved a top quality blade material. It holds an edge like ceramic with toughness closer to steel.
This interesting little knife is from Böker®. It is made in Taiwan and carries their Magnum mark. They call it the SubCom Folder, I call it the Sturdy Little Knife.
There is a lot of blade for such a small knife, only 1-7/8" in length but a full 1-3/8" in width.
We are always looking for knives with unusual locks. Especially, those that seem to offer a better way of releasing the lock. This new knife from Browning fits that bill. The locking system is basically a locking liner, but with a twist. It takes both liners to make this lock work.
This is the classic handle shape and blade for an American produced lockback. Buck® was so instrumental in the development of the lockback (think Buck® 110) that the model was for a long time referred to as a Buck knife, no matter who the manufacturer was. In the early development the lockback was almost always larger than this pocket sized 3-3/8".
The Buck® Alpha Dorado is a pocket size hunting folder, 30% smaller than the full-size Alpha, with a 2-1/2" drop point blade of either 420HC at 56-58 Rc. or 154CM at 59-61 Rc. Both frames are stainless.
The Buck Gent's slim line design makes it the perfect gentleman's pocketknife, and the American Eagle/American flag overlay allows you to show your pride. Thin and lightweight with rounded ends, this pocketknife fits perfectly in the pocket.
When you want the convenience of one-hand opening and the safety of open-and-closed-blade locking, then look no farther. When the blade is fully opened, it locks open until you release and close it.
Buck, relocated to Idaho, is really back on track and once again a leading name in the American knife industry. They have added the very rare and precious Paua shell, the abalone from New Zealand, to their Model 500 Duke to create this limited knife for A. G. Russell.
Buck has reprised Al Buck's personal favorite model, redesigned for today's hunter, using today's material, but with the same exacting standards that has keep Buck knives at the forefront of the knife industry. The original Kalinga was retired from the Buck catalog in 1997.

The X-Tract has just the tools you need--all at your fingertips. In contrast to typical multi-tools, the X-Tract has a serious blade, quick access to all implements using just one hand, and a traditional handle for better leverage.
Tom Mayo celebrates his 25th anniversary of knifemaking with a small-size gentleman's folder. It features a titanium handle, frame-lock and 25 lightening holes making this a special knife.
The Buck® 55 is a half-sized version of the Buck 110 Lockback, the knife the Buck company was built on. The 110 was developed in 1963, is still in production in Buck's Idaho manufacturing facility and has been copied by companies from around the globe. Buck® was so instrumental in the development of the lockback that the model was for a long time referred to as a Buck knife, no matter who the manufacturer was.
Each year Buck® creates a small group of customized knives using standard Buck® models. For 2008, among other models, they have created what they refer to as the Buck Guitar series. This series utilizes real guitar fret material and mother-of-pearl or abalone dots set in cocobolo or Indian rosewood handle scales.
The Buck Metro is a great compact keychain knife. This 1-1/8" drop point, satin finished blade, made of durable 420 HC stainless steel is useful for anything from opening boxes, envelopes to removing dangling threads.
Both the Mini Alpha Hunter and the Alpha Dorado are enhanced with rare African Giraffe Bone for handle scales. Giraffe bone is the hardest and densest bone known to knife making. It is not easily worked. Each model is an A. G. Russell™ Exclusive and is limited to 100 pieces. Made in the U. S. A.
Since it's beginning in 1902, BUCK Knives have continued to try to create knives that are some of the best in the industry. Using modern steels and technology and old-fashioned work ethic; we think they have succeeded.

This major American cutlery manufacturer has repositioned itself not only from California to Idaho, but also as a maker of modern as well as traditional knives and as a major player in 21st century American knife making. It is always rewarding to work with companies who have a vision and stay aware of the changing times around them.
The last top quality maker in Solingen, Böker® is using many European makers to design new knives for them. The newest is Andrey Titenkov from St. Petersburg, Russia. Ernst Felix, owner of Böker®, tells us that he met Andrey when on a trip to Moscow and selected this innovative folder from the several designs which he offered. This is the first knife Böker has created on their new 3D CNC equipment - notice the subtle shaping of the contoured high-tech aluminum handle.
Last year Böker® offered a "Folding Hunter" with a blade of Damascus made from the barrel of the famous "Leopard I", the German battle tank. The steel, developed to resist the wear of many rounds going through the barrel in a very short time, brings great benefit to knife users. Plenty of strength and first class edge holding.
Crafted high in the French Alps, these tough knives of simple design and rugged materials have long been a favorite of Europeans. The original Opinel line was created by founder Joseph Opinel in 1890. Today, the knives are made with the same attention to detail, with modern carbon steel blades, pearwood handles and the traditional Opinel locking safety ring.
This Böker® Folding Hunter has been made at our request. It is a variation of a standard Böker lockback. The differences are that the blade is high carbon tool steel and the bolsters have a satin finish instead of a mirror polish. Only 200 have been brought into the U. S. The handles are Genuine Stag.
Böker®, once a middle-sized manufacturer of decent quality knives that fit below Hen & Rooster, Henckels and Puma, is today the largest cutlery manufacturer in Solingen and makes pocketknives for the Henckels and Hen & Rooster marks. They have continued to make traditional knives while also embracing the designs of Michael Walker and other great makers following in Mike's path.

In 2007, Allen Elishewitz , the acclaimed Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker designed the CRKT® production version of his Anubis (the jackal-headed god of the underworld, according to ancient Egyptian mythology). For 2008, they have added the black-on-black "K" models with titanium nitride blade coating, plus black liners, bolsters, fasteners and removable clip.
Boyd Ashworth's custom "Thomas C. Turtle" models won Best Miniature Folder® awards at two consecutive Blade Shows. These innovative little jewels were marked by the use of Boyd's own Damascus steels and exotic materials such as mother-of-pearl, wooly mammoth, fossil walrus, and gold. Consequently, you could spend close to four figures to own one.
From the Manufacturer:
"In the beginning, just over a decade ago, CRKT made its name by offering a series of quality locking liner folders at remarkably competitive prices. We became known in the knife industry as the "value company," a distinction we are still proud to hold even though our line has expanded to include sophisticated high-dollar knives. Our approach has always been: never cut corners, just give a whole lot of knife for the money.
From the Manufacturer:
"Kit Carson's M16® designs continue to be our most popular series, so it was only a matter of time that we filled out the line with a Zytel® InterFrame build version of his Every Day Carry (EDC). Our knife users told us, "The size of the aluminum build EDC is perfect, but I need a more affordable work knife that I can give hard use without feeling guilty, and one that won't break me up if I leave it on a job site or drop it in the river."
So finally, here is the production CRKT M4 that you can afford to carry every day, anywhere. And while is was being engineered, CRKT decided to add some more value by offering the patented OutBurst™ assisted opening as an option, and the patented AutoLAWKS™ which automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade instantly for the ultimate in safety.
From the manufacturer:
Jim Hammond's Cruiser series of customs seemed like an ideal starting point in our development of a high quality affordable lockback work folder. As the first custom knifemaker and Knifemakers' Guild member to work with Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), he understood the translation necessary to arrive at our successful production Cascade Lockback.
Jim Hammond has designed a handsome and effective folder with a deeply swedged clip point blade with dual thumb studs for ambidextrous opening and a handle intended for extremely secure grip. The design is beautifully executed. Suited for dress carry or for the workman who wants his work knife to be exceptional.
Jim Hammond's Desert Cruiser is one of the most advanced designs of its type. Designed to do its job and complete any mission. The knife of choice when the only easy day was yesterday.
The Drifter G10 is a locking liner folder with black G10 scales and a premium 2-7/8" 8Cr14MoV stainless steel drop point blade at 58-59 Rc. in a gray titanium nitride finish. It features an InterFrame build with stainless steel liners and a black stainless steel clip.
Columbia River is excited to introduce their first group of production folders designed by noted Texas custom knifemaker and Knifemakers' Guild member Allen Elishewitz. Imagine the knife of the future: lightweight build, premium materials, a soft gray finish, CNC machined surfaces, a high tech lock, smooth one-hand action. Welcome to the future, because our new Elishewitz Starlight is a functional precision tool for today that would look at home in any starship.
As you know, Barry Gallagher is one of the most acclaimed members of the Knifemakers' Guild, well known for his award-winning high-end custom art knives. So CRKT had a special challenge in producing Barry's Badger design at a quality level that would satisfy him, while keeping the price low enough to satisfy you.
The sleek, natural look of Barry Gallagher's Glide Lock from Columbia River Knife & Tool® depends on two very modern technologies. The first is the Glide Lock that relies on a sliding stainless steel mechanism hidden within one bolster. Slide the bolster out, and it creates a tang to rotate the blade open. Slide the bolster back and the blade is locked open. To close, slide the bolster out and rotate the blade closed with your index finger. Slide the bolster back to lock the Glide Lock closed. It's fast, lightweight, compact, and secure.
How do you follow one of the most successful designs in modern knife history? With a H.U.G.™.
In 2007, CRKT followed one of the most successful designs, the K.I.S.S. in modern knife history with the H.U.G.™. For 2008, they have made a tactical version with black non-reflective titanium nitride coating.
The Hissatsu folder was designed at the request of customers who wanted a folder with the defensive power of the original Hissatsu, but could be concealed in a pocket or clipped comfortably under a jacket. It is meant to perform in environments that do not allow firearms or large fixed blade knives.
Horus is familiar to Egyptologists as the hawk-headed god, lord of the sky. As Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker Allen Elishewitz developed this design for Columbia River Knife & Tool® (CRKT®), similar in many ways to his larger custom Creedmore, we saw an aggressive hawk-like character in its crisp edges, facets and choils, hence the Horus™ name. It reminds us of an F-117 stealth fighter, too.
This extraordinary design comes from Knifemakers' Guild member Ed Halligan. It is a complete knife with only half a handle, no liner just a split handle.
Columbia River Knife & Tool's® original K.I.S.S.® has been one of the most popular knives ever sold in our catalog. For 2007, CRKT has taken that K.I.S.S.® to a new level. Ed Van Hoy, designer of the Snap Fire™, and Ed Halligan, designer of the original K.I.S.S.®, have worked together to develop the Two-Timer™. The most obvious change is the second blade.
When we thought we had seen every way possible to open a folding knife, Columbia River introduces the Kommer Fulcrum. To open the Fulcrum, simply press the left side of the frame down with your thumb. The blade swings out to the 90-degree position. Then pull the left side of the frame back, gripping with your index finger at the choil, and the blade continues to rotate open and lock in the open position. After a few openings, you can do it naturally in one continuous, fluid action. To close the Fulcrum, simply release the stainless steel locking liner. One-hand closing is also fast and easy.
From the Manufacturer:
"Look through the CRKT catalog, and you will see page after page of successful hunting and fishing knife designs by Knifemakers' Guild® member and Alaskan guide Russ Kommer, whose custom knife shop is now in Fargo, North Dakota. But Russ blew us away with his prototype for the Full Throttle™, which is definitely a rock-solid personal frame-lock folder."
From the Manufacturer:
We work with custom knifemakers like Greg Lightfoot, because frankly, they are never satisfied. They are always looking for perfection, to take their next design further. Greg has achieved a new level of performance in the production version of his M1® design, with a unique blade grind, asymmetrical contoured frame, deeply textured scales and a "Mako Flipper" blade guard, all aimed at improving grip and cutting power. Greg explains the blade: "It is a refined Tanto shape with a custom-style hollow grind, slight belly and recurve and a hint of a drop point. I call it a 'Millennium Tanto.' The false edge on the spine improves penetration while maintaining strength." The blade is premium AUS 8 stainless steel with titanium nitride non-reflective coating for superior corrosion resistance, with Razor-Sharp or Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point™ Serrated edges.

Kit Carson designer of the M16® Series, retired after 20 years as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army, in Combat Arms and Armor and Cavalry. He began making custom knives full time, and his custom titanium framed M16 quickly became a new performance standard.
From the manufacturer:
When we considered offering Kit Carson's very popular aluminum M16® design in a more affordable build, we turned to our very successful InterFrame construction.
Instead of aluminum handles, we use tough, textured Zytel® scales over a 420J2 stainless steel liner inter-frame.
From the Manufacturer:
"The new M16® Fire Department Zytel® models are designed to meet the special requirements of those in fire fighting. For strength, we use our rigid InterFrame build with 420J2 stainless steel liners. Scales are injection-molded Fire Engine Red Zytel, which is a tough, strong composite of fiberglass and nylon designed to handle the worst abuse. The scales are textured for good grip in wet conditions.

"After the success of our M16 Special Forces series, we received requests from professional knife users in the military and law enforcement for the larger "Big Dog" size with a more versatile blade shape. We talked to the designer of the series, retired Sergeant Major and Knifemakers' Guild member Kit Carson, and M21 SF is the result.
The Mini My Tighe is a smaller version of the My Tighe which CRKT introduced in 2006.
The 3" blade is 1.4116 stainless at 55-57 Rc. with a high satin finish. In 2007, you will find a new style of serration on many CRKT knives. This is their exclusive Veff™ Serration designed by Tom Veff.
From the Manufacturer:
"Canadian knifemaker Brian Tighe is a true Renaissance Man, with an array of professional skills including tool and die making, metallurgy, engraving and photography. In his St. Catharines, Ontario, workshop, he produces a wide array of custom folders, all with those signature touches that immediately make them stand out as Brian Tighe knives.
The Pazoda™ is a stylish frame-lock folder with a 2-5/8" premium 8Cr14MoV blade at 58-59 Rc., gray titanium nitride coated.
Those of you who are familiar with Allen Elishewitz's web site of exquisite custom knives will know that the production CRKT Pharaoh is very different from Allen's custom Pharaoh. Sorry for any confusion, but this is a unique design that incorporates many of Allen's themes and is well deserving of the title "king." You will look very hard to find a production knife in this price class that is anything like the Pharaoh, so it does stand a bit larger than life.
From the manufacturer:
Since the original Rolox® was invented in 1975 by Blackie Collins, it has been an expensive cult knife that attracted an enthusiastic following. Unfortunately, production was very limited. After reaching an agreement with Rolox to manufacture the concept as a true production knife, we asked brilliant young Texas custom knifemaker Allen Elishewitz to redesign the original classic. The result was a production knife that has the smoothest Rolox action ever, with an entirely new look, and a price that put it in any pocket or purse.
In Ancient Egypt, the scarab beetle represented resurrection and renewal, and was depicted in art and jewelry as a talisman of good fortune. Allen Elishewitz is an acclaimed young Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker who offers a surprising range of custom knives, many with Egyptian-themed names.
This Ed Halligan design is an answer to requests for changes in the very popular CRKT® K.I.S.S.® knives. The result, the Slip K.I.S.S.® is the lightest full-size K.I.S.S. knife yet. It has a full 2-3/4" blade, but weighs only 1.8 ounces.
This remarkable knife was inspired by a knife designed by Blackie Collins in the 1960s or early in the 70s which was very much a two handed knife. Ed Van Hoy has added a remarkable opening and closing device that turns this one into a "One Hand Knife." He has also totally redesigned the blade to bring it into the 21st Century. At the 2002 Knifemaker's Guild show, we selected Ed's handmade knife to receive our "Most Innovative Folder" award.
The K.I.S.S.® and the P.E.C.K.® knives designed by Knifemakers Guild Member Ed Halligan have been some of our most popular knives. Since they were released, we have sold over 20,000 knives. Last year, in order to commemorate their 10th anniversary, CRK&T released an engraved version of the P.E.C.K. with mirror polished Spectral Titanium Nitride coating. It was such a hit; they are now offering the whole K.I.S.S. line with the same finish.
Study aircraft history, and you find the name Thunderbolt connected both to the P-47 fighter and A-10 fighter-bomber. They are both invariably described as "large, rugged, dependable." Those words also fit Ron Lake?s new locking liner design for the Columbia River Knife & Tool® (CRKT®) Thunderbolt™.
The Tiny Tighe Breaker is available with CRKT's patented OutBurst™ assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have manually opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. To maximize safety, CRKT built in the patented AutoLAWKS™ that automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade.
Based on the Triumph custom models made by Pat Crawford, the production Triumph Folder is a large and formidable tactical knife designed for grip, with double finger choils, thumb friction grooves and deeply grooved G10 scales. The 420J2 stainless steel liners, one locking, are a hefty 0.1" thick.

Award-winning custom knifemakers and Knifemakers' Guild member Ed Van Hoy has designed a number of hot sellers for Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT), but this one is On Fire. No really, that's its name, On Fire™, and it has all the right equipment to be a very popular personal knives.
The CRKT Convergence was designed by award winning custom knifemaker Aaron Frederick and introduced in 2004. The locking mechanism is unusual enough that CRKT finally gave up on producing it. After removing the knife from their line, CRKT offered the remaining stock to A. G. Russell™ Knives. A wonderful opportunity for our customers.
CRKT® has applied Koji's remarkable design sense to a small personal folder incorporating their patented Outburst™ assisted opening mechanism. The result is a small knife that gives good grip, fits the hand nicely, and is truly functional for a variety of work tasks. They call their first Koji series Ichi™, Japanese for "one".
Koji Hara is noted for his custom folders in exotic materials, and is especially known for his carving of the handle material into a classic terraced landscape that he calls his "Air-Step" design. In 2000, we included two fixed blade knives with Koji's Air-Step design in the A. G. Russell™ catalog of knives. Those were the first made in quantity for the American market.
The classic 3" drop point skinning blade has a high hollow grind and Razor-Sharp edge to make fast work of the largest animals.
Ron Lake's latest breakthrough is the new Lake 111™ by CRKT®. It is equipped with his patented Lock Back Safety (L.B.S.™), which allows the user to slide the small L.B.S. button forward to lock the blade both in the open and closed positions. When locked open, it is virtually impossible to accidentally release the blade even during vigorous cutting tasks. For those who are concerned about accidental opening, in pocket or on-belt, simply slide the button forward to lock the knife closed until its next use.
Custom knives are often set apart by the exotic materials they employ. So it should be no surprise that custom knifemaker Ron Lake was persistent in his desire that CRKT should do the same thing with the production Sentinel. Thanks to Ron, these models resemble customs, using premium materials throughout.
While CRKT® has achieved an enviable reputation for quality with manufacturing partners in Taiwan, U.S. federal law requires that assisted opening knives be made in the U.S.A. When they decided to build the Wild Weasel, it was necessary that they find a domestic manufacturer with a new, state-of-the-art plant that could match the manufacturing quality they get in Taiwan. You be the judge. If you already own and use CRKT knives, buy a Wild Weasel and compare.
I could not choose between these two knives for the catalog, and I believe you will have a hard time deciding which to buy. Because of this, I am making a special offer of one of each knife at a reduced price. Both knives are two blade folders, in outward appearance very traditional knives. In function they are not traditional at all. In each knife, both blades lock. That in itself is unusual, but the thing which makes them really different is that both blades lock with a common liner. This is the first time I have ever seen such a locking arrangement.
The knives shown here are available in combination edge only. The handles and blade are anodized graphite colored aluminum, which is then coated with a Titanium Nitride Finish. Titanium Nitride (TiNi) coatings are some of the toughest coatings that can be applied to steel. They exhibit extreme hardness, are exceptionally scratch and peel resistant, and help increase longevity.
The Covert from Gerber was a 3/4 size version of the big run-away best seller Applegate-Fairbairn® Combat Folder. The Covert was itself a big seller. Its 4-5/8" handle made it still a pretty big knife for the average pocket.
It is hard to believe that the same person who designed the Stallion and the Gator for Gerber has designed what they are calling the Gerber AR 3.00. However, I am assured by the people at Gerber, that this is the case. This knife, which has not been dignified with a name, is one of the neatest knives from Gerber in many years. If beauty, function, and value count for anything, this will be one of Gerber's very best sellers.
This unusual gentleman's knife was designed by Christian Wimpff and began to be produced in the Klötzli shop in Switzerland in 2004. Each year H. P. selects a different unusual inlay material. For 2007, H. P.'s choice of inlay material is a beautiful deep red-orange apple coral.
A neater and more useful version of our own City Knife locking system of several years ago. Like the City Knife, this is a button operated liner lock. Pressure on the button on the obverse side of the handle pushes the liner to the side allowing the blade to close.
Ed Halligan has more K.I.S.S.es for you. Pucker up. The original series is now available in black Teflon® plating. Not only is black the most popular color in knives in recent years, but it has real functional value. It is less reflective and creates a protective barrier against corrosion. So it is only natural that we would offer Knifemakers' Guild Member and K.I.S.S. designer. Ed Halligan's creations in black dress.
KA-Bar, a company famous for its fighting/utility knives has a new folder, and the name says it all. The Mule is just as versatile, reliable and rugged as the KA-Bar knives more familiar to you.
From The Manufacturer:
"These knives have been carried to the Middle East and back and have withstood some of the most demanding conditions. These heavy-duty pieces of equipment are the folding knife's answer to the traditional KA-BAR. They're hefty and they're rugged - tough enough to perform the most daunting of tasks.
For a lot less money than buying one of his handmade pieces, you can own a custom-designed Dozier folder. Ka-Bar's Large Dozier Folding Hunter is made with a Zytel® handle that is checkered for slip resistance.

The Ka-Bar Warthog series, while not the prettiest knife you've ever seen, are workhorses when it comes to getting the job done. For 2007, Ka-Bar has added a more affordable folder featuring textured G-10 handle scales for secure grip and a tactical look. The Warthog's are available with either clip point or Tanto blades with straight or combo edges. Each comes complete with a pocket clip.

In early 2003, Ka-Bar introduced the third in their series of Bob Dozier designed Folding Hunters. Knife users responded very well to the first three blade styles; the Folding Hunter ,the Folding Skinner, and the Spear Point Hunter. Now they add the combination edge.

Ka-Bar's history goes back to the Tidioute Cutlery Company, which was founded in Pennsylvania in 1898. Out of the failure of that company, the Union Razor Company was formed in 1902. The name was changed again in 1909 to Union Cutlery Company then moved to Olean, New York in 1910. The Ka-Bar trademark was introduced in the 1920's and around 1942 the company submited a Ka-Bar branded knife to the U. S. Marine Corps. The Ka-Bar knife became so well known and so important to the company, that in 1952 the company name was changed to Ka-Bar Cutlery, Inc.
Since 2002, Ka-Bar® Knives has offered a line of custom-designed Dozier lockback folders. These knives are designed for hard work, and are perfect for everyday use. Last year, they introduced a larger version of the Dozier Folding Hunter and for 2008 they have added an oval hole in the blade for easy one-hand opening.
The Baby Boa mirrors the lines of the larger Boa but has something to offer all its own. A unique cutaway allows you to view the inner workings of Ken Onion's SpeedSafe® system. The handle of 6061-T6 anodized aluminum with smoked finish, supports a Walker style lock and a safety lock to keep the knife safely closed in your pocket.
Another winner in Kershaw's SpeedSafe® line of folders, a patented on/off feature. Just roll the disc on the back spine of the handle forward or backward when the blade is in the open position to engage or disengage the assisted opening feature depending on the job at hand. When in the off position the knife functions as a one-hand opening folder, just use the thumb stud or flipper and a quick flick of the wrist and the knife is fully deployed.
The unique Ken Onion action on the Kershaw knives gets smoother with every new model. These knives open with what Kershaw calls the "Speed Safe" action. You open it 20% and the knife opens itself the remaining 80%.
This five-in-one Carabineer tool features a sturdy 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum frame in black and a 3-1/4" blade made from AUS-6 stainless steel at 57-59 Rc.
At the 2001 S.H.O.T. Show, Kershaw introduced two Ken Onion designs. Playing upon Ken's name they called them their fresh onions. Like most other Onion designs, both knives feature Ken's Speed-Safe™ torsion bar mechanism for smooth assisted opening. Made in U.S.A.
The E.T. from Kershaw has been one of our most unusual and popular offerings. Kershaw has made it even more unusual with a different handle finish called Urban Camo, a unique splatter paint effect. The E.T. (External Toggle) is an interesting knife that opens and closes by manipulating the handle which is jointed at about 5 points.
This is a great combination. The knife, just barely too big for dress trousers, has a sleek black leather pouch, open at the top, with a belt clip.
Kershaw® has taken knife blade grooves to another level. They've even named the knife "Groove". The blade surface will explain why. The entire blade below the grind line is machined with a unique striation pattern, possible only with modern day computerized 3-D machining equipment.
The Kershaw® Lahar (according to Webster - "a moving fluid mass . . . . ") designed by Tim Galyean features a flipper for ambidextrous one-handed index finger opening. All that's needed is a slight roll of the wrist to assist the blade in the opening motion.
The Leek is directly related to the Chive and the Scallion designed for Kershaw by handmade knifemaker Ken Onion. Like the earlier two knives, the Leek features Ken's Speed-Safe™ assisted opening. The revolutionary Speed-Safe™ Torsion Bar device provides smooth and effortless blade deployment with just one f
