I have a thing for knives made in the German city of Solingen (pronounced ZOh-ling-an). They made swords there for over 600 years, but now have green laws that forbid running the huge power hammers that built the city. Their cutlery industry is all but gone, with only a tiny handful of firms hanging on.

We have worked with this company for many years and bring you this older styled Auto-Guard (Swing Guard) Folding Hunter in three handle materials: Genuine Stag (Sold Out), Brown Jigged Bone and Amboyna Burl (Sold Out). An Auto-Guard or Swing Guard is a hilt, or guard, that lies close to the handle when the knife is closed, but opens into the guard position when the blade is opened.
