Mike Snody, the designer of the Resistor, got his start in knifemaking in an unusual way. While working in a remote corner of Siberia on a construction project he passed the time by reading and re-reading knife magazines. This turned an interest in knives to great enthusiasm, and in less than a year he was selling his wares at major knife shows. This knife is one of several collaborations he has done in recent years with Benchmade.
The Resistor has a 3-3/8" Gotham swedged clip point blade of 154-CM stainless steel at 58-60 Rc. The blade supports fully ambidextrous thumbstuds and friction grooves on the spine of the blade for enhanced grip. The handle of anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum with G-10 over scales supports double 420J liners and a removable/reversible high placement carry clip. Overall length 8-1/8". Weighs 5.7 oz. Made in the U.S.A.
Also available with BK1™ (BenchKote™) coating, a proprietary poly-ceramic coating that has a matte black, non-glare finish. For Corrosion resistance and durability.
