Boker® brand knives have always been good solid knives at reasonable prices. Recently they have begun to reach for higher quality and special materials. This Gent's lockback has a European Damascus blade and nickel silver bolsters and inlay. The handles are Irish "Bog Oak". This oak tree fell into an encroaching bog about 3,000 or more years ago. The heavily acid water and the peat kept the air and decay from the wood until it was recently pulled from the bog. This richly historical and beautiful wood has been in strong demand for fine furniture and Boker was able to acquire only a small amount for these exceptional pocketknives. Measures 2-1/2" closed with a 2" drop point blade. Weighs only 1.3 oz. Made in Germany with brass liners and a handsome black presentation box of wood. Suggested retail $220.00.
