Bark River's^™ new Sandstorm is a great utility knife. This is just about the perfect size to give a young person going to Iraq. When they come home it will work just fine as an outdoor and hunting knife.

The 4-5/8" blade is 12C27, a Swedish high carbon, stainless knife steel, hardened to 56-58 Rc. The choice of handle scales is Green Canvas Micarta® and Texas Mesquite Burl. The Mesquite is a shrub that very rarely gets to small tree size so the wood is pretty rare. There are millions of plants but few of any size and few burls. The Mesquite is an A. G. Russell^™ exclusive. We have 100 pieces in stock. Any additional knives will be made after the first of the year and will be dependent upon the availability of Mesquite burl. Measures 9-1/2" tip to butt. The Mesquite weighs 5.4 oz. and the Micarta® 5.7 oz. Overall, a great combat or utility knife.
