Since 1979, Al Mar Knives™ has been committed to making unique designs at quality levels that rival custom, handmade knives. Gary Fadden, took charge of the Al Mar knife company. He is focusing on the best selling ultralight designs and is making them in three sizes, all with the linerless micarta handle which I pioneered in the early 1970s.

Al Mar® Osprey™ Black Micarta® Ultralight

The Ultralight™ series, which Al Mar Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle. This is a great way to make a strong, lightweight folding knife, the heavy weight metal of liners and bolsters is removed.

Al Mar® Knives Osprey

The Osprey is either a small gentleman's locking knife or a miniature frontlock knife. In either case, it is a pleasure to handle and to own.

Al Mar Hawk & Osprey

The second most popular of the Al Mar® elegant mid-lock folders is the Hawk (the Osprey being first).

Al Mar® Knives SLB

A great little pocket piece with a clip that makes it an ideal money clip as well as holding it at the top of the pocket.

Al Mar® Ultralight Talons

Gary Fadden, president of Al Mar® Knives, is focusing on producing knives from the best designs produced while Al Mar was in charge of his company. The Ultralight series, which Al Mar Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle.
